Hailing from China, Sic Bo is a game that is very easy to learn. Three dice are shaken in a small bowl and then thrown onto a table. Before they are revealed, the players bet on their sum or on different possible combinations (predicting if a particular number will be showing, betting on specific doubles or triples, etc.). Sic Bo is extremely popular and has travelled around the world, particularly to France at the Casino Barrière in Enghien-les-Bains.
In Sic Bo it is impossible to bet on the numbers 3 and 18 for the simple reason that they do not feature on the table. If the three dice add up to 3 or 18, you automatically lose your bets. On the other hand, if you place your chips on the ‘Triple’ or ‘Tout Triple’ (Any Triple) squares, and the numbers 1 or 6 come up, you win.
